The collection, entitled “Psych Rock”, was inspired by the 70s pyschedelic glam rock scene. Western style was represented with flat top hats, leather cowgirl jackets, and shrunken suede blazers, while glam rock was represented by diagonally striped sequined jackets, sequined tops and tiny leather shorts.
Until now, it has felt like Hedi Slimane was a passionate fanboy. That passion had become quite persuasive; the sales figures are more than enough evidence. But here it all went a little predictable and chilly. Slimane’s collections for Saint Laurent are notoriously divisive, so those items will no doubt have plenty of fervent admirers, too. Slimane debuted his latest “Psych Rock” campaign starring model and muse Grace Hartzel.
