The camera, reimagined
Since its launch in 2009, Samsung’s Galaxy series has become synonymous with high-end Android phones, and the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ once again redefine the smartphone standard.
The design retains the fabulous edge-to-edge Samsung infinity screen for an excellent browsing, messaging and cinematic experience along with the smooth easy-to-hold shape and intuitive controls of the S8 range. Inside however there are changes aplenty including a dual-aperture camera designed to capture stunning pictures in both bright daylight and super low light. Aside from its superb images the camera software also has some neat tricks up its sleeve like the ability to create super slow-mo video clips that you can easily set to music or turn into a looping GIF and share on your social media or messaging apps.
The audio performance gets a severe rework too with more powerful AKG speakers and Dolby Atmos three-dimensional sound. You can access the phone with secure technology that combines face recognition and iris scan or rely on the good old-fashioned PIN.
