Music enthusiasts – particularly jazz fans – will be happy to know that Singapore is prepping to welcome the fifth Singapore International Jazz Festival 2018 at the iconic Marina Bay Sands. Running from 6th to 8th April, the event is expected to welcome more than 20,000 visitors from Singapore and abroad to enjoy a spectacular musical extravaganza, featuring jazz and all related genres, like soul, blues, Latin, funk, R&B, hip-hop, world music and electro swing. The festivities will span across multiple stages around the world-renowned resort.
The Main Stage and The Late Show will see an impressive 30 hours of live music performed by 25 mega acts over the entire weekend. The line-up for this year’s Singapore International Jazz Festival has the city buzzing, as it includes electro swing sensation Parov Stelar, five-time Grammy Award-winning soul singer Lalah Hathaway, jazz-pop star Jamie Cullum, and legendary hip-hop and soul songstress Lauryn Hill.
Hill’s performance is one of the most anticipated performances of the year, as it will also be the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of her monumental album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” – one of the most celebrated albums in music history, so you definitely don’t want to miss this event.
The Late Show indoor setting at Sands Expo and Convention Centre is designed as an intimate concert arena, complete with VIP tables, catering to partygoers by accommodating a late-night experience till 4am on 6th and 7th April.
