Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber – Stuck with U
Crooned by two of the biggest names on the pop music scene right now, Stuck with U was released early in May as a charity single, with all net proceeds to be donated to the First Responders Children’s Foundation to fund scholarships for children of frontline workers whose lives have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The single debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 and was also number one on the Rolling Stone Top 100 chart, so it’s worth listening to.
Fiona Apple – Fetch the Bolt Cutters
Eight years after the release of her previous album, The Idler Wheel, Fiona Apple is finally back with her fifth studio album, Fetch the Bolt Cutters. Cheeky and quirky in true Apple fashion, the album features long, often improvised takes with unconventional percussive sounds. Exploring freedom from oppression, the album discusses Apple’s personal experiences, including bullying and other dark topics.
the 1975 – Notes on a Conditional Form
The fourth album from English band, the 1975, has been described as genre-hopping, spreading across pop, rock, electronic and dance music subgenres, with reviews further describing the tracks as pop rock, folk music, industrial rock and UK garage. The album doesn’t hold back with 22 tracks, pre-empted by seven singles, including People and The Birthday Party. The repertoire is inspired, with additional vocals featuring big names like FKA Twigs, Phoebe Bridgers and Greta Thunberg.
