TAG Heuer and Porsche teamed up to release the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Porsche Panamericana, a watch that captures the essence of a race and the vision of a man.
The renowned Swiss luxury watchmaker, TAG Heuer, recently unveiled the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon X Porsche Panamerica, a collaboration with Porsche and the Carrera Panamericana. The exclusive timepiece, limited to just 255 units, symbolises the shared legacy between legendary TAG Heuer and Porsche and celebrates the 70th anniversary of Porsche’s winning in the race.
This newest creation from TAG Heuer embodies speed, heritage, precision and the relentless pursuit of excellence, aligning with TAG Heuer, Porsche and the Carrera Panamericana race’s vision. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Porsche 550 Spyder racecar, the watch celebrates history and the powerful partnership between both brands.
Looking at the design, the skeleton dial mirrors the look of the 550 Spyder’s wheels, while the silver, yellow and black colours reflect the racecar’s iconic livery. The yellow lacquered hands and subdial hands add a sporty flair, while the shimmery effect on the dial plate and subdials evokes the polished body of the 550 Spyder.
The black calfskin leather strap comes with yellow lining and stitching, adding the charm of sportiness and vintage look. At the heart of this masterpiece is the TH20-09 in-house tourbillon movement, offering ultimate precision.
The 42mm watch features a stainless-steel case, finely brushed and polished, with the original “Spyder” logo on the side that echoes the original font used by Porsche in the 1950s. The curved flange bears the Porsche logo, and the six o’clock position displays the “Panamericana” marking, a nod to the legendary rally.
Each piece is individually numbered and marked with a “LIMITED EDITION” special engraving to emphasises its rarity. The watch comes in an elegant black lacquered wood box with a personalised yellow Pantone accent, enhancing its sophistication and exclusivity.
