One of Jakarta’s most prestigious art fair is back, with works from a collective of 30 art galleries.
The eagerly awaited annual ArtMoments Jakarta is set to grace the artistic landscape once again from August 18th to 20th, 2023. Returning to the elegant Grand Ballroom of Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel, this year’s sixth edition of the Fair promises to be an exquisite showcase of creative expression and cultural enrichment.
Bringing together a collective of 30 distinguished art galleries, the fair is a testament to the country’s vibrant artistic heritage. With a focus on quality over quantity, ArtMoments Jakarta 2023 aims to deliver a curated and boutique experience.
Under the artistic direction of Rizki Zaelani, this year’s theme, “EMBRACE MOMENTS: Continually Art,” celebrates the optimism and progress of Indonesian art. The theme invites visitors to appreciate the efforts of local art institutions, galleries, and art fairs, which contribute to positioning Indonesian art on the global stage.
This edition of ArtMoments Jakarta introduces captivating public presentations throughout the Fair Grounds, hotel premises, and connecting shopping areas. Notable among these is the Tokyo-based Whitestone Gallery’s ‘Walk Cycle,’ a captivating digital installation by award-winning visual artist and animation director Kongkee. Jakarta-based G3N Project x Museum of Toys presents a striking 3.5-meter sculpture by Arkiv Vilmansa, further enriching the public art experience.
