Exploring behind-the-scenes stories and sustainability milestones at GAIA’s third anniversary.
Marking a significant milestone since its debut in November 2021, the Gaia Hotel Bandung is celebrating its third anniversary this November. Launched in 2021 amidst the pandemic, it swiftly evolved from an ordinary hotel into a holistic destination where visitors may unwind, recharge, and prioritise their well-being. Over the past three years, Gaia has built a tight-knit community of residents, partners, and guests, all contributing to its success.
To mark the occasion, Gaia is launching Beyond the Seen—A Visual Story of GAIA Becoming, a coffee table book that offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the hotel’s story. It captures critical moments through stunning photographs, from the quiet beauty of the Infinity Pool, shrouded in mist, to the joy seen in a child’s eyes. This collection is available in every room, allowing guests to reflect on the hidden moments that make Gaia unique.
A photography exhibition, The Journey, showcases rare moments from the hotel’s past eight years. To get the creative vibes going, there’s a panel discussion with some seriously talented folks who helped bring Gaia to life, talking about how art and business go hand in hand.
Furthermore, sustainability remains at the heart of Gaia’s mission. As part of its commitment to the environment, the hotel’s residents recently completed an impressive 11 million steps in just seven days to fund the planting of 333 new trees. Gaia continues to lead the way in eco-conscious living, and this anniversary marks just the beginning of even greater things to come.
