Slated to open in 2026, The Kayon Villas Tirta Gangga is poised to be a crown jewel of eco-luxury in eastern Bali.
On 29 August 2024, The Kayon Hotels & Resorts celebrated the groundbreaking of its newest property, The Kayon Villas Tirta Gangga, located in the tranquil Ababi village in Karangasem, Bali. Set to open in Q2 2026, this eco-friendly resort will feature 22 bamboo villas designed to integrate seamlessly with the natural surroundings, offering a blend of Balinese heritage and modern luxury.
The symbolic stone burial during the ceremony, led by the resort’s owners and CEO I Wayan Sucitra, marked the start of construction. This milestone reflects The Kayon’s vision to create a sustainable and serene escape for guests seeking wellness retreats, romantic getaways and intimate weddings.
Set on 1.1 hectares of lush landscapes with views of Mount Lempuyang, Mount Agung and the South Sea, the villas are crafted to enhance the natural environment. The resort will also feature a two-layer hanging pool, Kepitu Restaurant, Serayu Wellness & Spa and Puspaka Chapel. The spa, inspired by Bali’s iconic water palaces, will offer treatments centred around the concept of Mandalagiri, symbolising the harmony between earth and water.
“The Kayon Villas Tirta Gangga will offer an unforgettable experience with its sustainable design, luxury amenities, and Balinese hospitality,” said CEO I Wayan Sucitra.
With nearby attractions like the ancient Lempuyang Temple and the beaches of Amed and Virgin Beach, the resort will offer guests a perfect balance of relaxation, cultural immersion, and spiritual connection. The Kayon Villas Tirta Gangga is set to become a premier destination for those seeking eco-conscious luxury in Bali’s serene east.
