In the world of exquisite single malt Scotch whiskies, The Macallan introduces its latest creation, A Night on Earth – The Journey a remarkable expression designed to symbolise the journey of recognising and cherishing special moments shared with loved ones around the globe. This release marks the second instalment in The Macallan’s A Night on Earth series, and it comes encased in an innovative, multi-layered pack, collaboratively designed with acclaimed Chinese mixed-media artist Nini Sum. Each layer artfully represents the different stages of the journey to reunite with loved ones, particularly during the New Year festivities.
To commemorate this unique collaboration, guests were invited to immerse themselves in an exclusive whisky-pairing experience at Apéritif Restaurant in Ubud, Bali. Here, the newly launched A Night on Earth – The Journey takes centre stage, creating a harmonious union between the revered Balinese culinary traditions and the timeless character of The Macallan’s A Night on Earth Collection.
Moving beyond Ubud, The Macallan’s A Night on Earth Collection embarks on a captivating journey in Jakarta, offering two distinct experiences that showcase the collection’s versatility.
To embrace the spirit of the Lunar New Year, Mirai Bar in North Jakarta welcomed The Macallan’s A Night on Earth Collection with a delightful pairing available from 20 January to 29 February 2024. The exquisite whiskies find a subtle yet captivating complement in the delicate sweetness of local rice cakes, creating a nuanced harmony of tradition and innovation in every sip.
Meanwhile, across the city, The Bimasena Club in South Jakarta embarked on its own captivating exploration from 29 January to 29 February 2024. Skilled mixologists at this elegant establishment had crafted three unique cocktails inspired by The Macallan’s A Night on Earth Collection, each capturing the essence of the whiskies in its own distinct way.
