Drawing inspirations from Indonesia’s rich culture, The St. Regis Jakarta is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2022.
The St. Regis brand is making its way to Indonesia’s capital city with the upcoming launch of The St. Regis Jakarta in the fourth quarter of 2022. Known for its iconic heritage and commitment to delivering exquisite experiences, the much-anticipated luxury hotel pays homage to the rich cultures and vibrant traditions of Indonesia, incorporating inspirations from the country’s music and performances in the design.
Sprawling across 17 storeys, the hotel is conceptualised by award-winning designer, Alexandra Champalimaud, visualising the inspirational Indonesian soundscape. From the urban cacophony of Jakarta and Surabaya, and the sounds of Yogyakarta’s traditional markets, to Sulawesi National Park’s songbirds and the sound of waves in Sumba, the harmony is interpreted into the design as well as the art collection of the hotel.
Prominent glassmaker, Lasvit, crafted the Kinetic Light in the arrival lobby, showcasing the dance of lights harmonised with the surrounding atmosphere. The iconic chandelier in the hotel’s Astor Ballroom is inspired by the majestic mountains in Java. Meanwhile, the bespoke pieces in the ballrooms highlight the country’s craftsmanship and material sourcing. Be mesmerised by the elegant touch of Batik throughout the hotel, as well as ann eye-catching mural by Indonesian artist, Eddy Susanto on the wall of The St. Regis Bar.
With a strategic location in Jakarta’s Golden Triangle, the opening of The St. Regis Jakarta is something to look forward to. Guests will be able to choose from 282 lavish guest rooms, including 28 signature suites ranging from 75sqm to 187sqm. Furthermore, the hotel will also offer a sophisticated wine and cigar lounge, refined gourmet deli Rosé and an intimate clubhouse of music and literature.
