One of the leading shipyards in the world, Sanlorenzo, has just received double recognition for its new and cross-over yacht, the Sanlorenzo SX88. After winning the coveted World Yacht Trophy at The Phuket Rendezvous – Thailand’s leading yacht showcase, the revolutionary vessel was also honoured to be the recipient of the Christofle Yacht Award for the best international yacht release at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival.
Sanlorenzo SX88 is outstanding and dubbed a cross-over for its perfect combination of Sanlorenzo’s classic trademark flybridge vessels with the recently expanding explorer class. Furthermore, Sanlorenzo SX88 features distinguished qualities that make the yacht stand out from its counterparts, including GRP hull and carbon fibre superstructure, open stern to fulfil the different functions of garage, beach club and sports activity area, two main deck layouts – open space or owner’s cabin, the advanced building process used on the open hull and more.
Designed by Piero Lissoni, the interior of Sanlorenzo SX88’s first unit boasts wide open spaces and large glassed surfaces, seamlessly blending the interior and exterior. Receiving the award were Simpsons Marine Managing Director Mike Simpson and Sanlorenzo APAC Sales Manager Nick Stratton.
