WESTIN RETURNS TO SINGAPORE
November saw the opening of the brand new Westin Singapore (12 Marina View, Singapore, 018961;+65 6922 6888; starwoodhotels.com), the first hotel to carry that name in a decade. Located in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District it’s the city-state’s first-ever integrated hotel located within an office building. Occupying levels 32 to 46 of the brand new Asia Square Tower 2 commercial development in Marina Bay, the hotel boasts the highest lobby in Singapore.
Each of the hotel’s 305 guestrooms and suites, including Executive Club rooms, Sea View Suites, Harbor View Suites and a Presidential Suite, feature floor-to-ceiling windows, soothing tones and the brand’s signature amenities, such as Westin Heavenly Bed, featuring lush sheets, down cushioning and a patented pillow-top mattress that cradles and contours to the body for complete comfort.
The Westin Singapore also features an infinity pool with a stunning view over Singapore’s south coast as well as a state-of the-art fitness studio. Guests can take advantage of the New Balance Gear Lending program, which provides guests with athletic shoes and apparel during their stay. If you’d rather pamper yourself than sweat, the Heavenly Spa by Westin provides six private treatment rooms and a range of facilities including a whirlpool and Steam Room, designed to indulge guests with rejuvenating treatments.
The hotel also offers up some compelling epicurean experiences. The Cook & Brew gastro-bar offers classic bar favourites alongside local comfort food and a meticulously curated list of fine wines and over 100 different types of beer from 17 countries.The hotel’s signature restaurant, Seasonal Tastes, maintains five interactive kitchens for a truly personalised dining experience, complete with panoramic views of Singapore’s garden city.
