If your children – or even you yourself – are big Disney fans, then Tokyo Disney Resort is definitely a must-visit destination for the school holidays. One of the most elaborate Disney establishments in the world, Tokyo Disney Resort comprises two theme parks and four Disney hotels.
Tokyo Disneyland is the more popular one as it was built first and is based on its sister parks in the USA. Signature Disney park rides like the Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Haunted Mansion can be found here, not to mention rides that are based on classic Disney films, such as Alice’s Tea Party ride for the little ones – inspired by the 1951 Alice In Wonderland film, or Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters – inspired by everyone’s favourite astronaut in the Toy Story franchise. Of course, Star Wars die-hard fans will be glad to find the force at this park.
That being said, the relatively newer park Tokyo DisneySea is more than worth checking out. Known as the more mature park, Tokyo DisneySea still caters to the whole family – regardless of age. Adventurous thrill seekers will love famed rides, like the Tower of
Terror, Journey to the Centre of the Earth and Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull.
