W Bali – Seminyak Welcomes New General Manager Subin Dharman

With over 20 years of global experience, Subin aims to elevate the resort’s guest experiences and drive sustainability initiatives.

W Bali – Seminyak, a premier destination in Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio of distinguished hotels, proudly announces the appointment of Subin Dharman as general manager, effective 15 April 2024. Subin brings over 20 years of rich experience in luxury hospitality, having worked in various prestigious properties across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, the United States and Europe.

Subin’s journey in the hospitality industry commenced in the Netherlands, where he honed his skills as an F&B supervisor at Sheraton Schiphol. His career trajectory saw him take on roles in numerous flagship hotels worldwide, gaining extensive experience in both the operational and leadership facets of the industry. His early ventures into lifestyle brands included significant stints at Hotel Missoni in Edinburgh and Kuwait, where he demonstrated a remarkable ability to drive luxury standards.

With a notable tenure at several The Ritz-Carlton properties, Subin held various key positions, including leadership roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, and The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas. His adept management skills led him to significant achievements as the hotel manager of The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan, and later as general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place. Under his guidance, The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place, earned accolades such as the Gold Standard of Hospitality and Best Hotel for Business Travelers in Asia Pacific by CNBC International in 2022. Subin’s outstanding contributions were recognised with the APEC Luxury General Manager of the Year award by Marriott International in the same year.

Before joining W Bali – Seminyak, Subin led The Ritz-Carlton, Bali, where he continued to exemplify excellence in hospitality. His transition to the dynamic environment of W Bali – Seminyak marks a new chapter in his illustrious career. Subin is eager to bring his visionary leadership to the resort, focusing on enhancing guest experiences and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.
