Since opening back in late 2007, KidZania has proved to be hugely popular and a provider of a unique blend of education and entertainment for kids. Located at Pacific Place in Central Jakarta, KidZania is a mini city, with shops, a transportation system, banks and even work. When kids first enter they are given a cheque for 50 Kidzos (the official currency of KidZania), a map and a security bracelet. The learning starts straight away as they have to head over to the bank and cash the cheque. They can spend the cash on whatever they want and once it’s gone they can earn more working in more than 70 different professions: as dentists, firefighters, police, or even sandwich makers, to name just a few. Open to children from 2 years old to 16, the security bracelet issued on entry ensures parents can find their kids at any time and it can only be removed upon return to Jakarta. KidZania is not just a safe and fun place for kids, it helps teach important life lessons and lets them experience the realities of the adult working environment.

Cinemaxx Junior is a fabulously fun and innovative new idea from Cinemaxx combining some of the latest movies with play in a relaxed and comfortable kid-based setting. Even before the movie starts, children can play on the bridge, flying fox, giant trampoline, ball pit, climbing trees or mini hammocks. Each session lasts about two-and-a-half hours, with doors opening an hour before showtime to give the kids the maximum time to enjoy the activities in the cinema. As the start time approaches, the children and parents are invited to choose from a variety of chill-out seating options, such as beanbags, loungers, cinema seats, or sofa beds for two. With three showings per day, all movies screened at Cinemaxx Junior are specially chosen to be exciting and educational for the whole family.
