W Bali – Seminyak is turning seven and inviting music enthusiasts and partygoers alike to kick off the celebrations on 31st March. Aptly named The Beat Goes On, the festive event will start from the magical sunset hour with the appropriate tracks from W’s own resident DJs Nanda and Wilson, and continue all through the night. The coveted headliners are Italian-Belgian producer Aeroplane and W Hong Kong’s DJ/violinist Olivia Dawn.
Vito De LucaVito De Luca is the brain behind the moniker Aeroplane, dubbed the leader of nu-disco and Balearica music scene and known for his unique “analogue house” sound. His past works include popular remixes for Justin Timberlake’s Suit & Tie and Mayer Hawthorne’s Wine Glass Woman. Aeroplane has also received some world-class recognition, like the time he was chosen by Pete Tong as the 500th DJ to perform an Essential Mix, featuring his song We Can’t Fly and his famed remix of Friendly Fires’ Paris, and when he was named one of NME’s 20 most groundbreaking dance acts in the world.
Olivia DawnOn the other end is Olivia Dawn, who is also W Hong Kong’s respected music curator, ready to deliver contemporary electric violin sessions combined with her husky vocals and entrancing DJ and live electronic sets.
